Northfield 8th Girls Win Crestview Invite

The Northfield 7th and 8th grade girls basketball teams played in the Crestview Invitational Saturday with the 8th grade taking home the title.

8th Grade girls won 2 games Saturday in the Crestview Invitational to clinch the championship. They opened up against Lakeview (Warsaw) and won 33-6. All players scored and the team defense was very solid. In the championship game they won a very physical battle defeating Crestview 32-21. Another highlight for the day was that the Lady Norse were 18/24 from the foul line for 75%. This pushes the 8th grade team to 3-0 with a game at RJ Basket on Monday evening. Total stats for the day, Emily Miller: 25 pts, 9 reb, 5 steals; Teagan Baer 14 pts, 11 reb, and 10 steals; Ali Copeland 11 pts, 6 reb, and 1 steal; Addison Wischman 6 pts, 1 reb, and 3 steals; Andrea Wideman 4 pts, 1 reb, and 5 steals; and Kyra Aderman 4 pts and 15 rebounds.

The 7th grade Girls basketball team split the two game Crestview Invitational on Saturday. They opened up the invite battling a very strong Lakeland Christian team, falling 35-14. They bounced back and ended up winning the second game against Peru, 37-13. This pushes the Lady Norse record to 2-1 and will travel to RJ Basket Monday, December 18.
