Huntington North High School senior Zoey Stanley will sign h er National Letter of Intent
with Indiana Tech on Friday , January 19 , 2024 , at 3: 15 p.m. in Huntington North ’s
athletics media room . Stanley will be continuing h er academic and softball careers as a
Warrior .


Stanley is a scholar athlete; a t wo – year varsity letter winner heading into her senior
season. Stanley was a member of the 2023 NE8 and Sectional Champion Viking softball
team

Huntington North High School senior Ethan Meyer will sign h is National Letter of Intent
with Manchester University on Tuesday, January 9 , 2024 , at 3 :15 p.m. in Huntington
North ’s athletics media room . Meyer will be continuing his academic and swimming
careers as a Spartan .


Meyer , a scholar athlete, is a three – year varsity letterwinner of the Viking swim team

The Lady Vikes defeated a very good Warsaw team last night at North Arena 63-56. It was all Lady Vikes from the start. Marissa Trout and Haiden Bailey hit back-to-back 3’s in the quarter, getting Huntington North out to a 25-14 first quarter lead. In the 2nd quarter Gracie Fields joined the hot shooting party knocking down a couple big 3-point shots to give the Lady Vikes a 36-25 halftime lead. Coming out of the half Warsaw got going, cutting the Vikes lead down to 3 points. After a timeout, the Lady Vikes regrouped, again led by hot shooting from Bailey and Fields the Lady Vikes extended the lead to 12 going into the 4th quarter. During the 4th quarter the Vikes were able to hang onto the lead as Bailey scored 8 of her 23 points in the 4th and Fields added another 3-point shot. Freshman Riley Wilson connected on a pair of free throws to help seal the win. In the game the Lady Vikes shot 11-22 from beyond the 3-point line and dished out 16 assists. With the win the Lady Vikes are now 7-5 and have won 4 in a row. Next game is Saturday December 30th at 10:00am in a Holiday Shootout hosted at Huntington North. There will also be an evening game the same night approximately 7:30pm.

The JV Girls basketball team lost a close game to Warsaw Wednesday night.

HN 32 Warsaw 38.

Kayda Newman lead the Vikes with 10 points, Addi Funk had 8 points and Harper Bailey added 6 points.
