Squires Win At Lewis Cass
The Manchester Squires traveled to Lewis Cass and defeated the Kings 66-37.
Kaleb Kline and Garrett Sites got the Squires off to a good start with Sites hitting a three for a 5-0 lead. At 7-3 Kline would hit again, followed by two Gavin Betten buckets for a 13-3 lead. Tallon Torpy would drain a three followed by another Betten bucket to lead 18-6 after the first stop.
The Squires would score the first 8 points of the second quarter to grab a 26-6 lead before Cass would out score Manchester 14-2 down the stretch to make it 28-20 at the half.
Cass would score the first bucket of the third quarter before two Betten three point plays made it 34-22. The squires would build their lead to 42-25 off points from Sites, Tyler McClain and Betten and led 42-28 after three.
Sites and Betten would go to work early in the fourth as the lead grew to 50-33. Wyatt Prater would then score during an 11-0 run for Manchester before Sammie Lambert drained a three for the final points in the 66-37 win.
Leading the way for the Squires was Gavin Betten with 32 points. Other scorers for the Squires were Garrett Sites 9, Gavin Martin 5, Tyler McLain , Kaleb Kline 4, Tallon Torpy 3, Sammie Lambert 3, Wyatt Prater 2, and Aaron Reid 2. Manchester improved to 7-1 on the season and 2-0 in the conference.
The Manchester junior varsity defeated Cass 42-38
