Boys Varsity Basketball beats Madison Grant 65 – 46

The Oak Hill varsity boys basketball team started strong and knocked off the Madison Grant Argylls 65–46 in the opening round of the Grant four! The Golden Eagle strong start saw them up 11 points after one quarter and then increased the lead to 20 points at the half. They won the third quarter as well by one, and then coasted the rest of the way for the 17 point victory. A Very good team win for the Golden Eagles with a strong defensive play from everyone and some balanced scoring as well. Ty Fagan had 17 points and 7 rebounds. Jace Tonagel had 16 points and 7 assists. RJ Shugart had 13 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists. Levi Trexler had 11, Jackson Lamb 4, and Trenton Sweet and Colin Middlesworth with 2 each. The Golden Eagles will be in the championship game starting at approximately 8 PM in a rematch versus the Mississinewa Indians.

Boys Varsity Basketball falls to Mississinewa 69 – 59

The Oak Hill Boys Basketball team dropped the championship game to Mississinewa 59-69. The Golden Eagles started out strong again, like they did in the 1st game today getting out to a 13 point lead halfway through the 2nd quarter, but then fell cold from the floor as Mississinewa picked up their scoring coming all the way back to within 1 at halftime. The 2nd half stayed close till towards the end of the fourth quarter as Mississinewa pulled away to win by 10. Scoring for the Eagles: Jace Tonagel with 16, Levi Trexler with 11, Ty Fagan and Trenton Sweet with 10 each, RJ Shugart with 5, Jackson Lamb with 4, and Colin Middlesworth with 3.
