The Manchester swim teams split with Wabash Wednesday.

Girls Varsity Swimming beats Wabash

Manchester took first in every event to top Wabash 121-32. Evyn Fox (200 freestyle, 500 freestyle), Joanna Eberly (200 IM, 100 backstroke), and Rachel Garcia (100 freestyle, 100 breaststroke) all won two individual events for the Squires. Also finishing first was Hannah Eberly in the 50 freestyle and Miriam Struble-Hedstrom in the 100 butterfly. The 200 medley relay team of Evyn Fox, Garcia, Averi Thomas, and Laynen DeLaughter finished just ahead of the other Manchester teams. The team of Garica, Noelle Walt, Sophie Anglin, and Hannah Eberly took first in the 200 freestyle relay and Evyn Fox, DeLaughter, Anglin, and Joanna Eberly took first in the 400 freestyle relay. Manchester will return to action on Monday against Columbia City.

Boys Varsity Swimming falls to Wabash

The Manchester boys couldn’t keep pace with Wabash falling 77-43. Cale Bennett and Cam Peacock led the Squires with a pair of second place finishes each. Bennett was just out-touched in the 100 butterfly and a distant second in the 100 backstroke. Peacock was runner up in the 50 freestyle and 100 freestyle. Jet Thomas also finished second in the 100 breaststroke. The relay team of Bennett, Peacock, Thomas, and Gabe Selleck finished second in the 200 medley relay and 200 freestyle relay. Manchester will be back in action on Monday when they host Columbia City.
