Tigers fall to Oak Hill 57-59

The varsity Tigers looked sluggish to start the game missed several shot attempts in the first quarter. They managed to keep pace with Oak Hill trailing by only 2 points.

The second quarter saw the ball start to find the bottom of the net with more ease. Junior Gavin Eldridge made 3 3’s en route to 11 points in the quarter. Peru led by 6 at the break.

The 3rd quarter saw the Tigers begin to struggle on the defensive side of the ball, while players starting picking up fouls. The teams traded baskets with the Eagles cutting the lead to 3.

The 4th quarter was a sloppy one for the Tigers, between the turnovers, fouls(3 Tigers fouled out) and missed shots, Oak Hill Freshman Jace Tonagel chipped in 13 of his game high 30 to spell doom for the hosts.

The loss drops the Tigers to 7-4(4-0 TRC) on the season. They host FW Snider tomorrow night at 7:45 pm.
