Girls Varsity Basketball beats Northfield 44 – 30

In an emotional Senior night for Northfield, the Lady Norse came out firing on all cylinders early against the Kings. However, the Lady Kings were able to respond and keep pace behind the sharp shooting of Aftin Griffin and Mylie Sipe as they hit 8 three pointers between the two of them.

Stout defense and solid ball control allowed the Kings to keep the Norse at arms length away for the rest of the evening.

Mylie Sipe led all scorers with 15 points (5 total threes). Aftin Griffin scored 13. Heta Kosunen scored 8, Ava Hubner and Kinsey Mennen both had 3 and Anna Hedrick scored 2.

The Lady Kings improve to 14-2 on the season and 4-0 in the Three Rivers Conference. The return to action Wednesday night at North Miami.
