The Wabash and Southwood boys junior high basketball teams split games Thursday.

Wabash won the 7th grade game 39-21

The Apaches jumped out to a 7-point lead to end the first quarter. Bray Bassett added 6 points in the second quarter; Blake Ashba added 2 points and a couple of big rebounds that kept the Knights within striking distance. The Knights could not close the gap in the second half despite a three-pointer from Cade Pershing and 2 big rebounds from Grady Dillon. The Knights came up short in the contest 39-21. Bray Bassett led the team in scoring with 14 points. Grady Dillon added 2 points and 3 rebounds, and Blake Ashba had 2 points and 5 rebounds.

Southwood won the 8th grade game 29-27 in overtime
