Lady Squires Win At Rochester

The Manchester Lady Squires basketball team ended their TRC conference play Saturday by beating Rochester 55-47.

Rochester came into the game with 1 TRC loss on the season. The ladies battled hard, and despite being down in the 3rd quarter, came back with some big shots and defensive stops.

Brookelynn Buzzard led the Squires tonight knocking down 6/11 threes and making some big plays in the second half. She had 23 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists, and 1 steal. Emma Walker also had a huge game with her 3rd double-double on the season with 17 points, 12 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals. Molly Schanep and Kim Schroll both had 6 points. Peyton Ream, Hadley West, Ava Sautter, Hanna Stout, and Gracie Lauer came up big on the defensive end tonight with their ball pressure. Otber scorers include Peyton Ream (2) and Ava Sautter (1). Hadley West had a career high 6 assists, and Gracie Lauer pulled down 6 rebounds.

The Lady Squires finished 7-2 in the TRC and their placement will depend on a couple of games next week.
