Squires Take Down 10th Ranked Adams Central
The Manchester Squires improved to 13-2 after defeating Adams Central 65-62 Saturday.
The Squires were able to build a 9 point lead in the 4th quarter but Adams Central made a run and tied the game with 1 minute left. Gavin Betten hit the go ahead bucket and then Tyler McLain came up with a big steal to put the Squires up 4 with 30 seconds left. Manchester was able to get some big stops late in the game that helped secure a big win.
Gavin Betten finished with 22 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 blocks on the night. Ethan Hendrix added 11 points and 3 steals, Gavin Martin finished with 10 points and 5 rebounds, Tyler McLain had 9 points and 2 steals. Other scorers for the Squires were Tallon Torpy 6 points, Kaleb Kline 5 points, and Garrett Sites 2 points. The Squires return to action at Churubusco on Tuesday.
