Girls Varsity Basketball beats Southwood 55 – 34

The Lady Braves traveled to Southwood and came away when an impressive performance winning 55-34.

The Lady Braves had not played a game in a week and used the time they were allowed to work on their shooting and rebounding. The Lady Braves showed that work paid off.

The Lady Braves hit 10 (3-point shots) in the game from 5 different players. Miranda Stoll and Addie Maiben each made 3 and Chloe Smyth hit 2. Rounding out with Bailey Carson and Aubrey Stoll each hitting 1.

The Lady Braves were down 10-12 after the first quarter but then turned their defense up and started to control the boards. Going into halftime with a 32-19 lead.

In the 2nd half the Lady Braves defense was the difference in the game only allowing Southwood to score 13 points the whole 2nd half.

Leading the Braves were:

Miranda Stoll 14 points, 8 rebounds

Bailey Carson 10 points, 7 rebounds, 7 assist and 2 steals

Addie Maiben 9 points, 3 assist

Ireland Kile 7 points, 5 rebounds

Chloe Smyth 6 points, 3 rebounds

Shaelyn Powell 4 points 3 steals

Aubrey Stoll 3 points, 2 rebounds

Sydney Barnes 2 points

The Lady Braves out rebounded Southwood 36-27, and had 18 assists on their 21 made field goals.
