Boys Varsity Basketball beats Madison Grant 56 – 50

The boys varsity basketball team outlasted Madison-Grant In a tough battle of county and conference rivals 56-50. Madison-Grant came out on fire shooting 9-16 three point shots to take a 5 point halftime lead. The Eagles came out determined in the 2nd half and eventually switched to a man defense and the Argylls only hit 3 threes in that half, and the Eagles won both quarters. Jace Tonagel scored 14 of his game high 21 points down the stretch, and hit 2 clutch free throws to help seal the victory. Trenton Sweet was big in the first quarter with steals and 8 fast break points. Levi Trexler hit 2 big three point shots and finished with 11 points. Ty Fagan scored all 8 of his points in the first half. Jackson Lamb had 6 big points in the 2nd half. Colin Middlesworth rounded out the scoring with 2 points.
