Northfield JH Girls Sweep Peru
The Northfield junior high girls basketball teams took a pair of games from Peru Thursday.
The 7th Grade Lady Norse travelled to Peru on Thursday night picking up their ninth win of the season. The Norse night was highlighted by a lob from Kassidy Cartwright to Sheila Smith for a nice 2 pointer. The Norse picked up the intensity the second half with a final score
42-14. The Norse were led by Gemma Haupert with 19 points,9 rebounds, 2 steals. Kassidy Cartwright brought great energy off the bench pouring in 8 points, 2 rebounds. Avery Custer had 5 points, 2 rebounds. Miranda Meyer had 3 points, 3 rebounds. Vivian Rife also poured in 3 points, 6 rebounds. Sheila Smith and Tenley Kuhn rounded out the scoring with 2 points, 3 rebounds, 2 steals. The Norse are back in action at home against Manchester.

The Lady Norse are now 8-2 with a 31-10 Victory at Peru on Thursday evening. They will play at home against Manchester on Monday.
