Rachel Garcia broke the school record in the 50 freestyle and will enter Saturday’s sectional finals with the top seed in the 50 and 100 freestyles.
Garcia’s 25.01 broke the previous record of 25.17 held by Halle Briner from 2020. Overall the Squires sent 7 individuals and 3 relays on to Saturday’s sectional finals. The following swimmers will be swimming in the championship and consolation finals on Saturday:

Despite not advancing to the finals on Saturday, several ladies ended their season with lifetime best swims. Trinity Bradley stepped up to swim a gritty 200 IM. Wynter Harris capped off her strong season with a big time drop in the 100 backstroke. Averi Thomas had a huge time trop in the 100 backstroke as well, and Victoria Lopez de Uralde Ortiz dropped 2 seconds in the 100 breaststroke. Laynen DeLaughter swam personal bests in the 50 and 100 freestyles. Saturday’s sectional finals in Warsaw will begin at 1:00 PM
