Northfield JH Girls Sweep North Miami
The Northfield junior high girls basketball teams defeated North Miami Thursday night.
The Lady Norse came out firing on Thursday night against North Miami and never looked back. They ended up winning 42-5. Overall great team win by the Norse with everyone contributing. Leading for the Norse was Gemma Haupert with 18 points, 1 rebound, 1 steal. Kassidy Cartwtight came hot off the bench with 7 points. Avery Custer chipped in 7 points, 1 steal. Miranda Meyer had 6 points, 1 rebound, 2 steals. Tenley Kuhn rounded out the scoring with 4 points, 1 rebound, 2 steals. Bella Schultz and Sheila Smith both came up with 1 steal. The Norse improve to 10-4 on the season and look forward to continuing their streak next week versus Rochester.
8th Grade had an awesome bounce back game on Thursday night, winning 48-12. Norse played great pressure defense forcing the warriors into many turnovers. The 8th grade lady Norse now stand at 11-3 and play Rochester next Thursday. Emily Miller-21 pts, Teagan Baer-20 pts, Ali Copeland-5 pts, and Kyra Aderman 2 pts.
