Delta finished as the team champion of the Fort Wayne Semi-State on Saturday, February 10. Oak Hill finished 21st in the field of 62 teams with participating wrestlers.
Oak Hill senior Emilio Liscano (144) earned a trip to the State Finals in Evansville next weekend by winning his first two matches. Emilio pinned is first round opponent, Jasiah Payne of Jimtown, in 0:59. His second round decision by a score of 4-0 over Sam Wolpert of Bellmont punched his ticket to the State Finals. Emilio lost in the semi-final round to Brody Hagewood of Prairie Heights by a score of 2-7. He then settled for fourth place after losing to Colt Bollenbacher of South Adams by a score of 0-8.
Seniors Devon Adkins, Tyson Kendall, Hayden Wagner, Will Warnock, Evan Miller, and Conner Fernandes saw their high school wrestling careers come to an end.
