Boys Varsity Basketball falls to Tipton 73 – 50
The varsity boys basketball team fell to the #1 2A ranked Tipton Blue Devils 73-50. Behind a great crowd and atmosphere the Golden Eagles went on a run in the 2nd quarter and had the lead a couple of different times and kept it close before Tipton took control in the 4th quarter out scoring the Eagles 23-9 in the final frame. A couple of big performances by freshmen Jace Tonagel and senior Levi Trexler scoring 20 and 17 respectively helped keep the game close through 3 quarters. Rounding out the scoring for the Eagles: Jackson Lamb with 6, Trenton Sweet with 5, and Colin Middlesworth with 2. The Golden Eagles will wrap up their Conference play Friday as they travel to Elwood for a 6pm JV start.
