Northfield JH Girls End Regular Season With Wins Over Whitko
The Northfield junior high girls basketball teams ended their regular season, taking two games from Whitko Wednesday.
The Lady Norse put up another stellar defensive game as they traveled to Whitko on Wednesday night defeating the Wildcats 32-2. The Lady Norse were led by Gemma Haupert with 12 points, 2 rebounds, and 3 steals. Miranda Meyer contributed 6 points, 3 rebounds, and a whopping 5 steals. Tenley Kuhn and Bella Shultz had 4 points a piece. Kassidy Cartwright and Avery Custer rounded out the scoring with a three pointer each. The Norse ended their regular season with an impressive 13-4 record. The Norse start RRC play next Tuesday at home against Lewis Cass.
Lady Norse 8th grade finished up their regular season Wednesday night with a win over Whitko 33-4. Kyra Aderman was the leading scorer on the evening with 10 points. Ali Copeland was big on the defensive end having 8 steals. The Lady Norse will prepare for RRC tournament game which will take place next Tuesday, 2/20 at home vs. Lewis Cass. The Lady Norse finished the regular season with a 13-3 record. Other game totals:
