Boys Varsity Basketball beats Northfield Jr-Sr 78 – 47

The Braves beat TRC opponent Northfield to get to 7-1 in the TRC. The Braves are now 14-4 overall.

Coach Burrus Quotes: “We stressed defense for this game. The score was 62-26 after 3 quarters. Northfield is a very good 3 point shooting team. The Braves only gave up 9 three point attempts until we subbed everyone out. Northfield made one three for the whole game. We trapped hard and constantly pressured the ball. I was very happy with the effort. We had great balance on offense. 6 players scored 6 or more points. We shot 21 of 33 from 2. We also made nine three point shots.

We have Manchester Friday night, at Manchester. We hope you can make it up to Manchester. This is going to be a tough game. Manchester is 17-2 overall, and 7-0 in the TRC. They are a very good team. We need everyone to come out and support the Braves. We are down to the last two weeks and we have lots to play for. We need to win out to get a share or win the TRC outright.
