Manchester Baseball Wins Home Opener

The Manchester Squires baseball team hosted Bluffton Tuesday night in their home opener, defeating the Tigers 9-4.

The team started out swinging hot bats in the first inning and were able to jump out to a 2-0 lead. The Tigers hit a 2 run homer in the top of the 3rd to tie the game 2-2. Bluffton scored two more in the 4th inning to take a 4-2 lead. The score remained 4-2 until the bottom of the 6th inning. The Squires exploded for 7 runs in the 6th, behind a 3 run homer by Gavin Martin. After the big 6th inning, Martynowicz closed the door in the 7th to finish the game with a 9-4 win.

Evan Martynowicz threw a great game to get the win. Marty threw a complete game and had 7 Ks.
