Northfield Varsity Golf took on the Tippecanoe Valley Vikings Wednesday to earn their 4th win on the season.

The Norsemen managed to score a 159 in the tough windy conditions. Medalist Tyson Baer continues to stay under par leading the way with a 35. Baer completed the bogey free round with a birdie on hole 8. Easton Shaw earned Silver Medalist carding his own impressive 38 in the harsh conditions. Tristan Hoffman and Gavin Brainard both finished with a pair of 43’s to be the next best scores of the entire field. The top 4 scores to come from all Northfield players is no disparagement towards a talented Vikings squad, but just a true showing out for a group that looked comfortable on their home course.

Ryder Schram ended his 9 with a 49 and a birdie on the par 3 7th. Schram was the only player to birdie on a par 3 between both teams. Hank Gray followed with an even 50 and Cole Hobert improved from his last match down to a 55. Ethan Hoover came in with a 59, while Issac Stakeman carded 61. Burton Black and Seth Castle rounded out the evening with a 70 and 71.

The Norsemen will be back in action tomorrow as they travel to Marion Elks Golf Club to take on the Marion Giants for a 4:30 start.
