Boys Varsity Baseball falls to Eastern 15 – 5

The Braves were down 1-0 early. Caiden Richards hit a one out single in the second inning. Followed by a Braxtin Birner double. Deven Murry kept the inning alive reaching on an error that allowed Richard to score. Bennett Isenburg then hit a single to score Birner.

With the Braves up 2-1 in the third, Marcell Sims lead off the inning with an infield hit. Jacob Isley followed with walk. Birner ended walked to load the bases. Adam Cannon followed with an RBI single. Isenburg then drives in another run and the Braves lead is 5-1.

Eastern took advantage of walks issued by Braves pitchers to score 13 runs in the 4th inning.

The Braves play again on Monday against Cass at home.

Braves Struggle in Duel at Logansport

Maconaquah Boys Golf had perfect golfing conditions as they faced Logansport in a two-way match at Dykeman Golf Course in Logansport.

Senior Cody Miller had the low score for the Braves with a 53. Camron Metcalf and Zach Duke both came in with 56s. Carsten Hollars shot a 57 and Aiden Robinson shot a 58. Team scores were Mac 222 – Logansport 167.

For the JV squad, Jakob Grant came in with a 61, Kyle Bockover a 63, and Wyatt Swift with a 69. Drew Grigsby played his first match of the season and came in with a 72.
