Boys Varsity Baseball falls to Rochester 3 – 2

The Braves battled Rochester all night but came up short in a game that went down to the wire. Bennett Isenburg drew a one-out walk in the third inning, stole second base, and scored on Marcell Sims’s RBI single. Rochester tied it in the bottom of the 5th, then Sims gave the Braves the lead on a home run in the 6th. Rochester was able to score a run in the 6th and then again in the 7th for the win.

Marcell Sims collected all three of the Brave’s hits. Kaleb Shelton pitched 6 1/3 innings and struck out 9 batters.

Maconaquah Softball falls to Rochester in close game.

Maconaquah traveled to Rochester Wednesday night.

The Braves started the game slow offensively, but started putting the ball in play late in the game.

After 5 innings MAC down 2-0. The Braves get one back in the top of the 6th with singles from Amaya Rader and Sydney Barnes. Bailey Carson drives in the run.

Top of the 7th the Braves tie the game with singles from Kasey Murry and Anna Clifton. Amaya Rader puts the ball in play causing a Rochester error scoring Murry.

Maconaquah could not hold in the bottom half of the inning losing 3-2 to the Zebras on a walk off Double scoring the winning run.

Offensively for the Braves. 2 Runs, 7 Hits, 1 RBI, 2 Walks, 7 Ks.
