Tippecanoe Valley High School Coed Varsity Track finishes 2nd place at NorthWood High School

The first meet of the season is in the books as the Boys and Girls Track teams hosted Northwood tonight.

The girls were led by Chesnee Miller who finished 3rd in the 1600m with a time of 5:42.72 and finished 2nd in the 800m with a time of 2:39.82. Ava Smith finished 3rd in the 400m with a time of 1:06.11. In field events, Kelsey Cox finished 3rd in the Shot Put with a throw of 24′ 10″. The 4x100m relay finished 2nd with a time of 56.11 while the 4x400m finished 3rd with a time of 4:35.75.

On the boys side, Wade Jones led the way finishing 1st in the 100m with a time of 11.12s as well as 1st in the 200m with a 22.89. Colton Crabb grabbed 2nd in the 110m Hurdles with a 19.19. Brason Smith picked up a 2nd place finish in the 300m Hurdles with a 47.38. Field events had lots of success with Eric Burke taking the win in High Jump with a leap of 5′ 8″. Trystan Ragan was 3rd in the High Jump with 5′ 6″. Phil Smith won the Discus with a throw of 104′ 2″. Will Kelley was 3rd in the Discus with 91′ 8.5″. Dalton Alber won the Shot Put with a toss of 42′ 1″. In the relays, the 4x800m finished 3rd with a time of 10:29.09. The 4x100m was 2nd with a 47.57. And the 4x400m of Nate Parker, Colton Crabb, Cody Eastgate, and Wade Jones picked up the victory with a time of 3:45.19.
