The Manchester boys and girls wrestling teams took on Peru Tuesday.
Adriana Escudaro and Katelynn Leckrone continue adding bouts to their season as they competed at Peru. Escudaro had a tough match, losing by fall in the first period. Leckrone won her match by fall in the second period. Both ladies show amazing sportsmanship representing the Manchester Squires.
In a recent dual meet between the Manchester Squires boys wrestling team and Peru, the competition was intense and well-fought. Unfortunately the team faced a setback, falling short with a final score of 31-48, primarily due to unfilled weight classes. The match concluded with a score of 31-48 in favor of Peru.
Head to head, the Squires dominated. Varsity wrestlers Preston Duffy, Rex Moore, Jose Cortes, and Isaiah Burlingame secured victories by fall. Tallon Selleck secured a win by decision, while Bryan Field earned a victory by major decision. Peyton Neal and Jeremy Ruckman faced losses by fall in their matches. On the junior varsity, Logan Eastman fought a strong first period ultimately ending with a loss by fall, while Ryder Roust secured a win by fall.
The team is scheduled to compete December 2 at the County Meet, hosted by Northfield at 9:00 AM.
