Results from Little League for Saturday, May 11th

In the first of three games on the day, the Crossroads Bank Red Sox defeated the Wabash Elk’s Lodge Cubs by a score of 4-1. For the Cubs: Will Sullivan had a single. Starting pitcher Liam Edmond had 5 strikeouts and 0 walks. Relief pitcher Wyatt Selleck added 2 strikeouts and 0 walks. For the Red Sox: Maddox Wallen singled. Grady Lehner singled and doubled. Jameson Wallen had an RBI single. Ethan Mahan had 2 RBI singles. Starting pitcher Jameson Wallen struck out 7 batters. Relief pitcher Ethan Mahan added 4 strikeouts.

In the second game of the day, the Wabash Hardware Giants defeated the Intrasect Technologies Blackhawks by a score of 9-8. For the Giants: Quinton Siders singled. Colton Rice doubled. Bo McWhirt tripled. Gavin Trotter and Maverick Mattern both had 2 singles on the day. Starting pitcher Bo McWhirt had 4 strikeouts. Relief pitcher Maverick Mattern also added 4 strikeouts. For the Blackhawks: Mathis Holbert, Easton Stahl, Braxton Chamberlain and Kannon Strickler had hits. Maddy Stahl had 2 singles. Jayce Kirkpatrick had a single and a triple. Starting pitcher Zayne Amburgey struck out one batter. Relief pitcher Maddy Stahl had 7 strikeouts.

In the final game of the day, the Inguard A’s defeated the Kendall Electric Yankees by a score of 9-5. For the A’s: Cruz Long, Ryker McKillip and Zayne Huffman had singles. Drew Floor had an RBI single and added another RBI in a later inning. Starting pitcher Ryker McKillip struck out 6 batters. Relief pitcher Jackson Tait struck out 6 out of 10 batters. For the Yankees: Tytus Dawes and Carter Diener had singles. Hudson Haupers singled twice. Jaxten Chambers had an RBI double. Weston Smith doubled and hit a 3 RBI home run. Starting pitcher Hudson Haupert struck out 6 batters. Relief pitcher Weston Smith added 2 strikeouts.

American League Results for Friday, May 10

The Lunquist Realty Red Sox get the win over the Kalenborn Wear Protection Solutions Orioles 12-11
For the Red Sox – Red Sox beat the Orioles with great catching from Natalie deck. Aliezah Staats with her first hit as a Red Sox
For the Orioles – Trenton Flohr, Wyatt Poole, and Layton Booth all pitched good. Jeremiah Ramsey had a nice hit. Chamberlain Hawkins did a good job behind the plate.

Results from Saturday, May 11

In game one – It was the Siders Premier Properties Yankees over the Todd Adams State Farm Giants 13-1
The Yankees beat the Giants with strong pitching from Marshall Dyson and great relief pitching from Brantley Gatchel. The offense was lead by Jeremiah Baldwin.
For the he Giants Maddix Vest hit a double and got the game ball.

In game two: The Alan Zimmerman Law Office Pirates win over the Trophy Center Plus Tigers 11-1
For the Pirates – The Camaras brothers must hear the sound of the intercontinental jet that will take them both back to Spain soon as both are heating up on the base paths, at bat and in the field. Older brother Alvaro had two inside the park home runs with five RBIs while younger brother Marteen made a Sports Center diving grab in the last inning to lead the Pirates to a win Saturday afternoon. Pirate pitchers allowed just one hit.
Leading the way again was Dexter Freeman, who struck out the side for two consecutive innings. Myles Holley and closer Westin Pretorius each recoded two strikeouts. Pretorius also has a perfect day at the plate going two for two. Braden Pence, Quinten Poe and Gunner Foust also had singles in the victory. Pretorius got a game ball for working hard at home on his pitching mechanics, as was obvious based on the uptick on his fastball
For the Tigers – Braxton Dillon had 2 RBI double. Phoenix Meyer and Rex Pegg pitched great. Rex played great defense, snagging a pop up and throwing a runner out

Game 3: It was the Wabash Welding Services Braves defeating the Bott Mechanical White Sox 15-6
For the Braves – Leland Wesley picked up the win improving to 3-0 on the season. Jocelyn Merrill went 3-3 with 2 triples and 3 RBI. Luke Smith and Jacob Waite both went 2-2 at the plate.The Braves picked up the win to improve to 6-0 on the season
For the White Sox – Angel Hubbard went 2 for 2 and scored 2 runs. Carson Davis was 1 for 2. Wesley Schultz pitched 2 1/3 innings and had 5 strikeouts.
Kaisen Swan turned a double play on a hard hit liner to short.
