Manchester Boys Track Wins Churubusco Invite/Wabash Runner Up

The Manchester Squire track team had an impressive day winning the Tim Wilkims invitational at Churubusco and setting a plethora of Personal Bests

Carson Heath also walked away with honors as the top point getter for the day.

Manchester outscored second place Wabash by 40 points to lead the 12 team field.

The 4×800 started the day right with a 2nd place finish and a BIG PR of 8:32.99

3200 m: 5th Fitzpatrick 11:03.77, 6th (but seeded 12th) Gabe Selleck 11:03.9*

High Jump: 1st Heath 6’1, 5th Carter Wagoner 5’8

Long Jump: 1st Korbin Presl 20’5.5″, 5th Wagoner 18’4

Discus: 4th Caden Young 127’9*, 5th Cody Curtis 121′

4×400: In an exciting finish Isaiah Acosta fought off Wabash’s anchor leg to help the team run a blistering 3:31.88* and win the event with the second fastest time in the history of the relays. (Acosta, Metzger, Heath, Poston)

The Wabash High School boys track team finished runner-up in the 12 team Churubusco Invitational Saturday afternoon. Manchester won the meet. Coleson Kugler was a double event winner (100, 200) and along with Kristian Stanton, Preston Cantrell, and Colin Patton helped the 4×100 relay to a first place finish. The 4×800 relay of Jonas Church, Caidan Burchett, Jace Bullins, and Ezra Church were also champions on the day. Jonas came back later in the afternoon and took home the 800 meter title.
