Wabash 7th Wins Valley Tourney
The Wabash 7th grade boys won the championship of the Tippecanoe Valley Tournament on Saturday by the score of 51-34.Wabash ran out to a 38-16 halftime lead. Leading the scoring was Kaden Vogel with 16 points.Grant Ford had 8 points,Trevor Daughtry had seven,Izaak Wright and Brayton Eis had six apiece.Rounding out the scoring was Alex Dinkins with 5 points and Dane Mettler with three.
Wabash got to the championship game by defeating Tippecanoe Valley in the first game 62-22.Wabash had three players in double figures.Brayton Eis led with 12 points,Trevor Daughtry and Trey Thrush each had ten.The rest of the scoring was Grant Ford and Alex Dinkins with 8 points each and Kaden Vogel with 5 points,Keaton Fields four,Izaak Wright three and Drew Castro scored two.
Wabash had a 31 minute stretch between the two games where they outscored their oppenents 92-25.
Wabash is now 8-0 for the season.Next game is Wednesday in Logansport.
