The Manchester softball team traveled to Fremont Saturday, splitting a double header with the host.
Manchester won the first game 13-0 before falling in the second 7-4.
In game one it was scoreless heading to the third when the Squires went off for 5 runs. With the bases loaded Kindra Stetzel would reach on an error with Emma West scoring for a 1-0 lead. Carsyn Howard would follow drawing a walk to make it 2-0. With two outs Emma Garriott hit a shot to center that was misplayed, clearing the bases to lead 5-0.
In the fourth Torina Runkel would triple to chase home Lydia Greer who had singled before a Emma Evans single made it 7-0. Stetzel would then hit a two run shot over the center field fence and led 9-0.
Manchester would rally again in the sixth. With one out Evans would reach on an error and advance to third on a Stetzel double. Howard would then be hit by a pitch to load the bases. A fly ball from Mackenzie Day would score Evans before a Garriott single chased home Stetzel to lead 11-0. Teraka Tully would follow with a single to score Howard before Garriott scored on a passed ball for the 13-0 score.
In game two Fremont would lead 7-1 heading to the sixth when the Squires tried to get back in the game. West would reach on an error before scoring on a Runkel double. Runkel would then score on a Andrea Kahn single to make it 7-3.
The Squires would pick up a solo run in the seventh when a West single scored Garriott for the 7-4 final.
