Northfield JH Volleyball Takes Care Of Whitko
The Northfield junior high volleyball teams took matches over Whitko Thursday.
Northfield’s 7th grade volleyball team moved to 2-0 on the season with a 25-12, 25-16 win over Whitko.
The team had a total of 26 aces on the night. Leading the team was Kirsten Rife with 5 aces and 4 assists. Elli Baker also had 5 aces and 1 kill. Allie Weaver had 4 aces and 1 assist. Josie Weaver, Camryn Kuhn, Emma Warnock and Graci Napier all added 3 aces each. The ladies also won the bonus game against Whitko 15-8. Jaeda Lynn, Macie Overlander and Kami Frank each contributed to the win.
Northfield’s 8th grade volleyball team defeated Whitko tonight, 25-16, 25-24.
Leading the Norse was Gabby Haupert with 7 points, 2 aces and 3 kills; Brihanna Bucher with 6 points and 3 aces; Autumn Burrus with 5 points and 2 aces, and Eden Hoover with 3 points, 1 ace and 1 kill. Josie Lynn added one solo block and 1 kill, Hannah Holmes 2 kills and Ava Copeland 5 assists.
The team faces Tipp Valley on Monday at home with a 7th grade start time of 5:30.
