Norse Impressive In Sectional Opener
The Northfield Norse exploded for 55 points in the second half on their way to an 85-50 win over North Miami in the opening round of the Southern Wells sectional Tuesday.
The Norse led 30-18 at the half before going off for 29 points in the third and 26 in the fourth.
Dillon Tomlinson and Alex Haupert each scored 14 points to lead the way for Northfield. Dillon added 5 steals and Alex 4 assists. Trent Osborn added a career high 10 points, all in the second half.
Graydon Holmes played very well off the bench with 8 points and 8 rebounds. Jayden Peas scored 7 points off the bench adding career highs of 6 assists and 4 steals. Clayton Tomlnson also had 7 points with 6 assists. Jarret Shafer and Kaleb Krom each had 6 points. Liam Johnson came off the bench for 5 points, as Paul Treska and Braden Ripplinger each scored 4.
The Norse will be back in action in the Sectional Semi-Finals at Southern Wells against Lakeland Christian Academy. That game will be Friday night at 6 pm.
