Norse JV Tops Whitko

The Northfield junior varsity baseball team jumped out to and early lead and held the Whitko Wildcats off to secure a 13-8 victory Wednesday.

The Norse pitching was led by Malachi Higgins (walked 4, stuck out 2 over 1.1 innings), carried by Jayden Truman (only allowing 3 hits and 2 runs, and 5K over 4.2 innings), and closed with Bryce Smith (1 walk, 1K). Other Defensive effort efforts were Cody Copeland and Brandon McKillip with a pair of put outs in the outfield each, and Noah Burkhart added a couple of outs at 3rd. Offensively, the Norse were led by Reese Rosen who was 3 of 4, with 2 singles and 1 double. Followed by Noah Burkhart who was 2 of 4 with two singles. Cody Copeland and Dylan Osborn each added a double. The next JV game will see the Norse hosting the Southwood Knights on Wednesday, April 14.
