Results from Maconaquah for Saturday, September 10th

The Maconaquah Lady Braves ran their new home course for the first time at the Maconaquah Invitational on Saturday, and they impressed, winning the meet and defeating second-place Western by 28 points! All five scorers for Maconaquah placed in the top 20, earning medals.

Abby Jordan once again led the way for the Lady Braves, posting a third place finish, crossing the line in 19:25.

Zoie Laber finished in 7th placed with time of 20:44, Chloe Jordan also placed in the top ten with a 9th place finish in 20:59.

Lucy Loshnowsky ran a season-best time of 21:39 and placed 14th, while Samantha Jones posted a time of 21:46 to place 16th overall.

The other runners for the Lady Braves all ran well since returning/recovering from sickness and/or injury. Sophomore Aubrey McClain (28th, 23:01), jumior Lauren Driscoll (42nd, 24:18), and sophomore Kaytlin Moeller (60th, 25:50) each ran good races.

The Maconaquah boys got to run on their newly-designed home course Saturday at the Maconaquah Invitational, and they ran quite well, placing 3rd overall of 13 teams, and missing the championship by only 5 points!

Isaiah Wittenberg was the individual champion, running a lifetime personal best time of 16:36, which now stands as the new course record!

Daylen Schrock (17th, 17:56) and Kaden Miller (19th, 18:17), also medaled for the Braves by finishing in the top 20.

Freshman Kaden Hanson broke the 19-minute barrier for the first time, with a time of 18:57 and placing 36th.

Isaiah Moore rounded out the scoring by placing 41st and running his best time of the year (19:11).

Also running for the Braves was Quinn Richard (92nd, 24:52), Jacob Sayger (93rd, 25:09), and Luke Abbott (100th, 32:10).

The girls golf team won the TRC tournament Saturday at Rozella Ford Golf Course in Warsaw. Complete results can be found on the Three Rivers Conference website or wabashcountysports.com
