On a rainy evening, the Squires Boys Soccer team took on Oak Hill in an away match and came away with a 2-0 victory.

After multiple opportunities to score, including a shot by Roberto Iaione that appeared to cross the goal line into the Oak Hill goal before the goalkeeper leaned back into the goal and threw it out, Manchester finally got on the board with ten minutes remaining in the first half when Nathaniel Miller’s pass found Tyler McLain headed toward the goal, and Tyler was able to slot the ball past the goal keeper. In the second half, again it was with ten minutes remaining that the Squires scored, with Liam York assisting on a goal by Michael Ortiz. With the win, Manchester moves to 8-1-1 and faces Huntington North in a home game Tuesday.

After Oak Hill scored a goal toward the end of the first half, the Squires JV Boys Soccer team rallied in the second half to score two goals, and take home the win. The first of the two goals came seven minutes into the second half when Colton Reffitt fired a ball across the face of the goal from the right side of the field and Jayden Jimenez collected the ball on the left side and shot it into the goal. The second goal came on a hustling effort by Wyatt Young, as he sliced through several defenders in the middle of the Oak Hill defense before putting the ball into the back of the net. Prior to those two goals, Manchester had a chance to score another on a penalty kick, but failed to convert on the opportunity. The Squires JV team moves to 3-1-1 on the season.
