Maconaquah High School Varsity Baseball beat Tri-Central Jr-Sr High School 10-9

Maconaquah took the lead late in the game in a 10-9 victory over Tri-Central on Thursday. The game was tied at eight with Maconaquah Braves Varsity batting in the top of the sixth when an error scored one run for Maconaquah Braves Varsity.

Both offenses were strong at the plate as Maconaquah Braves Varsity collected 11 hits and Tri-Central seven in the high-scoring affair.

Maconaquah Braves Varsity knotted the game up at eight in the top of the fifth inning, when Bennett Isenburg singled on a 2-2 count, scoring two runs.

Maconaquah Braves Varsity notched four runs in the fourth inning. Kaleb Shelton and Trace Armstrong each drove in runs during the inning.

Oak Hill High School Varsity Softball falls to Mississinewa High School 8-3

Karsyn Wiley got her first start of the season and pitched a really good 5 innings. It was a back-and-forth game until the 6th inning when Mississinewa scored 5 runs.

Karsyn also had two hits and a walk as well in the game.

Alivia Shaw had the big double to drive in two runs in the 4th inning to give Oak Hill a 3-2 lead.

Oak Hill loaded the bases again in the 6th but was not able to drive in a run.
