Whitko Vs Wabash April 20th, 2023

Whitko Lady Track and Field beat out Wabash 65-50 Thursday night, bringing them to 5-0 in the TRC. We had two school record breaks last night with Emerson Harper in Long Jump and Gwen Howard in Shot Put.

Emerson Harper beat the school record in long jump with a jump of 17’7.5”. Previous record from Elaine Warner in 2014 with a jump of 17’6.5”.

Gwen Howard keeps beating her own school record. Last night was a new outdoor record with a throw of 44’11.75”

Harper and Howard took another clean sweep, winning all four of their events.

Harper: 1st in long jump and PR with a jump of 17’7.5”, 1st in the 100 with a time of 13.22, 1st in the 200 with a time of 26.97, 1st in the 4×400 with a time of 4:25.78

Howard: 1st in shot put with a throw of 44’11.75”, 1st in Discus with a throw of 105’4”, 1st in the 400 with a time of 1:04.06, 1st in the 4×400 with a time of 4:25.78

Kira Sordelet had two PRs of the night. 1st in the 300 hurdles with a time of 53.81 and 2nd in long jump with a jump of 14’7”

Boys Track team ran against a good Wabash team and lost 31-92. The young Cats did well with boys having injuries.
Trevor Freel went 4 for 4 with wins in Long Jump, High Jump, 400M, 4X400
Trey Herrera placed 2nd in Discus and 3rd in Shot put
Harper Reilly placed 2nd in the 800m
Kendall Bollinger place 3rd in the 300m Hurdles
4×400 team won (Freel, Rose, Reilly, Courter)
