Knights Split Double Header At Oak Hill

The Southwood baseball team split a double header at Oak Hill Saturday.

Southwood High School Varsity Baseball beat Oak Hill 11-9

The Knights offense got off to a scorching start with 9 runs after the first 3 innings. The Knights had 10 hits and 9 walks in the game. On the mound, Blayne Hamilton went 3 solid innings allowing 3 earned runs. Jaret Denney followed that with a good 2.2 innings allowing 3 earned runs. Dalton Barney came on to get out of the 6th inning. Brody Height came out for the 7th to close out the game for the Knights to pick up the save.

Jaron Craft 3-4, 3 singles, 3 RBI’s

Mo Lloyd 2-4, 1 single, 1 HR, 2 RBI’s, 3 runs scored

Micah Smith, Ryan Deeter, Dalton Barney, Blayne Hamilton, and Ashton Smith all had 1 hit each

Southwood High School Varsity Baseball falls to Oak Hill High School 8-5

Knight got off to a slow start, but did finish game 2 well. The rally fell short in the last inning as Oak Hill made a nice double play to end the game. On the mound, Brody Height started and went 4 innings allowed 3 earned runs. Mo Lloyd followed him in relief with 2 innings and allowing 3 earned runs.

Jackson Smith, Micah Smith, Mo Lloyd, Dalton Barney, Blayne Hamilton, and Ashton Smith all had 1 hit a piece

Knights are 3-4 on the season. They will host conference foe Wabash on Monday at the Launching Pad at 5:30.
