Chase Miller, Madelyn Stahl, and Ethan Mahan all singled for the Blackhawks. Ethan Mahan went the distance on the mound for the Blackhawks striking out 7 in 6 innings. Brody Schnurpel doubled and homered to lead the Cubs at the plate. Paxton Wright added 2 hits. Mack Denney, Wyatt Selleck, and Malachi Williams all singled for the Cubs. The Blackhawks will take on the A’s Monday night at 8:00, while the Cubs have been eliminated from the tournament.
Game 2: Crossroads Bank Red Sox @ Inguard A’s
Recap: The Inguard A’s defeated the Crossroads Bank Red Sox 11-1 in 4 innings in game 2 Saturday. Ryker McKillip went 3 for 3 with a triple and 3 RBI to lead the A’s. Zayne Huffman added 3 hits and an RBI. Zander McKnight doubled and knocked in 2 runs. Drew Floor singled and drove in 2 runs. Cruz Long, Blake Ashba, Beckett Shaw, Dylan Powell, and Jackson Tait all singled for the A’s. Cruz Long started for the A’s and picked up the win allowing 1 run on 2 hits and striking out 6 in 3 and 2/3 innings. Coby Leland and Jameson Wallen both singled for the Red Sox. The A’s will take on the Blackhawks Monday night at 8:00, while the Red Sox have been eliminated from the tournament.
