Boys Varsity Tennis Beats Northwestern 4 – 1

The Tigers defeated Northwestern 4-1 at Thrush Courts on Thursday.

Ian Potts scored the point at #1 singles with a 6-4, 6-1.

Jacob Boswell added a Peru point at #3 singles with a 6-1, 6-1 victory.

Peru’s #1 doubles tandem of Jackson Rogers and Jackson Boswell won 6-3, 6-2.

The #2 doubles duo of J.P. Pallante and Lucas Musser split sets 6-2, 4-6 and ultimately won the spot in a tiebreaker.

Northwestern’s lone point came at #2 singles as Peru’s Jayleb Walsh lost in a tiebreak 4-10 after splitting sets 6-2, 4-6.

The Tigers will contest the Kokomo Invite on Saturday with matches against Delta, West Lafayette, and Kokomo.

Varsity Volleyball beats Taylor 3 – 1

Varsity broke their streak on Thursday night against Taylor when they took the Titans down in 4 sets 22-25, 25-18, 25-22, 25-12. Sophomore Kyla Neupert led with 14 service points, 4 aces And 7 kills. Sophomore Addison Robbins also had 7 kills on the night. Senior Kenzie Burton and sophomore Addie Butt helped with 9 service points each. Senior Shelby Renn came back into action serving up 5 points, 1 ace, 11 kills, and 5 solo blocks.

The Lady Tigers will be in action on Monday at home when they host Kokomo with JV starting at 6:00pm.
