In their third win in just a week, the Manchester boys beat Wabash 4-1 Saturday.
It was a rocky first half for the Squires as they tried to figure out Wabash’s turf and their pack line defense. During the second half, where Manchester found success in being patient in their attack, they leaned heavily on great play from center mids, Diego Munoz, Wyatt Young, and Caleb Sautter. Finishing for the Squires were Tyler Mclain with two goals and Nathaniel Miller with two goals.
The Apaches didn’t wait to get the equalizer as Caleb Daugherty was able to sneak a shot past the Manchester keeper with 9 seconds to go in the half. Will Galley, Derek Reed, and Prestyn Jones anchored the defense while Max Carpenter and Coleson Kugler held down the outside of the back line. Owen Honeycutt put in a great 80 minutes of hustle in the center of the field.
