VolleyKnights Sweep North Miami

The Southwood VolleyKnights swept North Miami 25-5, 25-13, 25-15 Tuesday.

The Knights would get a good start with a kill from Carly Whitesel that ignited a 21-3 run. With Shania Rhamy serving the VolleyKnights would score 15 straight points. During the run Rhamy had 3 aces with Grace Drake, Hali Pershing and Alexis Lopez all recording kills. Southwood won the first set 25-5.

Up 4-2 in the second set Quinn Claussen would join the kill parade that started a 7-0 run. Up 14-7 Claussen would record two kills and a block as the lead grew to 20-7. Drake and Lopez would add kills down the stretch in the 25-13 win.

Set three was tied 6-6 when Drake and Pershing had kills while Drake served two aces in a 9-0 run to go up 15-6. Whitesel and Averi Haecker would dominate the net as the lead grew to 22-7. Up 24-10 after a Presley Kroft kill, North Miami would score five straight before Drake ended the night with a kill.
