Girls Varsity Basketball beats Manchester 38 – 27

The Golden Eagles had a great come from behind win over a good Manchester team. The Eagles started a little sloppy early in the first half but really locked in during the third and fourth quarters.

Oak Hill was led in scoring by Landri Hardman with 12 points while also getting a key 9 points by Ruth Tripp.
Landri also led the team with 7 rebounds followed by Lydia Trexler with 6 and Alivia Shaw with 5.

Landri Hardman and Erika Newhouse led the team with two assists each.

Lex Myers had 4 steals followed by Erika’s 3 steals.

While the offense got going in the second half it was Oak Hill’s tenacious defense that led the way to victory. Oak Hill held the Squires to 27 points, more than 20 points below their average output.

The JV had a great 2 point victory as well this evening.

Boys Varsity Basketball falls to Manchester 79 – 49

The Boys Varsity Basketball Team lost to a tough, hot shooting Manchester team 49-79. The Squires hit double digit 3pointers at a pretty high rate, and were very active with pressure and on the boards. The Squires got up 15 in the 2nd quarter and the Eagles fought back to only be down 7 going in to the half. The 2nd half, Manchester took advantage of their experience and home court scoring 46 in the half. The Golden Eagles were paced in scoring once again by Ty Fagan with 13 points and 9 rebounds. Jace Tonagel with 13 points and 4 assists. R.J. Shugart with 10 points, 3 rebounds and an assist. Rounding out the scoring was Levi Trexler and Colin Middlesworth with 4 each, Ryan Lawson and Trenton Sweet with 2 each, and Jackson Lamb with 1. The Golden Eagles are now 1-1 on the year and will host a very good Norwell team next Saturday
