Girls Varsity Basketball falls to Frankton 39 – 27
A tough conference loss tonight. The second quarter really hurt the Eagles, but they rallied and out scored Frankton 18-12 in the second half. The defense led the second half comeback but it fell short.
Scoring for the Golden Eagles was led by Liz Godfrey with 10, Landri Hardman had 7, Alivia Shaw got 6 and Lydia Trexler chipped in 4.
Rebounds were led by Alivia Shaw and Landri Hardman with 4, followed by Lydia Trexler and Lex Myers with 3.
Landri Hardman led the team with 2 assists.
Oak Hill is 8-5 on the season and 2-2 in conference.
JV won again tonight and they are 11-2 on the season.

A new school record and top 10 times on Oak Hill History were made at Saturdays meet at Hamilton Southeasterns invite. Senior Ethan Leal rebroke his 200 Freestyle record of 1:50.34 and went a 1:50.13. Leal also made his mark in the record books finishing the 5th fastest in school history in the 500 freestyle at a 5:11.12. Junior diver Grant Cates comes out with the only 1st place finish in the diving portion winning by over 100 points! Sophomore Evan Bledsoe went from 4th fastest in the 100 breaststroke from last year as a freshman to 3rd fastest in Oak Hill history at a 1:01.86. These 3 and countless others had phenomal swims a season best times, some of which were lifetime bests!
Schools included in this meet had a significant school size larger than our own.

Girls had only 1 thing in mind and that was dropping time at this invite. Junior Kelli Moore increases her ranking in Oak Hill History as the 7th fastest in the 100 Backstroke event. Other individual girls are creeping up on Oak Hill Top 10 list and that includes junior Kenae Drollinger in the 200 IM and 100 Butterfly, junior Isabel Snyder in the 500 Freestyle, junior Riley Alfandre in the 100 Backstroke, and senior Jaycie Pearce in the 500 Freestyle. All in all this was a great meet for our girls and really shows the greatness that lies ahead of all of them.
The schools in attandance have quite the larger enrollment than Oak Hill.
