The 7th grade Lady Squires played their first home game in front of a packed house against a very talented and experienced Indian Springs team. The girls started slow only scoring 3 points in the first half, but found their offensive rhythm by the 4th quarter scoring 10 points. The young Squire team is gaining confidence after 2 games against tough opponents. Scoring for the Squires was ballanced tonight:

Clare D’Andrea – 3

Girls JH 8th Basketball falls to Ind. Springs MS Eagles 36 – 7

The 8th grade Lady Squires hosted Indian Springs for our first home game of the year. Indian Springs was playing their 15th game vs our 2nd game and it showed. During our last 2 practices, we focused heavily on rebounding by being physical and jumping for the ball, and we did implement this skill during this game. Our next game is on Jan 9, so we have several weeks to improve our ball handling against pressure among other skills. Lacy Trump had 4 points and Olivia Stevens had 3 points.
