Apaches Run Away With Sectional Championship
The Wabash Apaches got off to a hot start and never looked back, defeating Lewis Cass 65-39 Saturday for the sectional championship.
Alex Dinkins would get Wabash rolling with the first five points of the game which included a three pointer. The Apaches would get buckets from Izaak Wright, Trevor Daughtry and Grant Ford to lead 17-6 after one. All four players hit long balls in the quarter.
Up 19-8 in the second Ford would hit from long range again and was follow with buckets from Kaden Vogel, Daughtry and Wright to lead 28-10 at the half.
After scoring 28 first half points the Wabash offense would go off in the third, scoring 21 points. Wright, Ford and Brayten Eis would all hit from behind the arch while Daughtry threaded several passes for easy buckets. The defense remained solid as the lead grew to 49-23 after three.
The Apaches would not cool down in the fourth as the lead grew to 61-31 before going on to the 65-39 win.

The Apaches now advance to next Saturday’s regional at Triton against Westview at 4:00
