It was semi-final night at Southern Wells with Northfield taking on Smith Academy.
The Norse got off to a slow start, mainly because Smith Academy wanted to hold the ball to slow the game which ended up not working out. Carter Rogers would give Northfield a 2-0 lead before the Norse would score 9 more straight points to lead 11-0 after one. Ty Leming hit back to back buckets before a Rogers three and a bucket from Jake Perney.
In the second Smith still wanted to play slowdown so the Norse applied a press to change the pace. Perney would hit twice before a Tyson Baer three made it 18-0. Parker Oswalt and Leming made it 22-0 before Smith got on the board. Northfield led 28-6 at the half.
The Norse would score the first 13 points of the third quarter to make it 41-6 and create a running clock the remainder of the game. The Norse got the first two buckets of the fourh quarter before Smith Academy scored the final 9 points for the 46-19 final.
