It was a real “slobber-knocker” in the American League as the Wabash Welding Services Braves win big over the Trophy Center Plus Tigers 18-2

For the Braves – Jocelyn Merrill had a RBI triple. Reece Ritter and Leland Wesley both had RBI doubles. Eli Ogden gave up 0 hits and struck out 5 batters to lead the Braves in the win.

For the Tigers – Trey whybrew pitched well and Riddik Dietrich made 2 good plays at 2nd base. Rex Pegg had 2 strike outs in a his pitching debut and his first year playing Little League.

The Braves are now 2-0 and the Tigers drop to 0-2.

In the only game of the night, the Crossroads Bank Red Sox defeated the Intrasect Technologies Blackhawks by a score of 13-7. Highlights for the Red Sox: Carson McKee and Jameson Wallen both had singles. Coby Leland had two singles and an RBI. Grady Lehman went 3 for 3, all singles with 2 RBI’s. Starting pitcher Jameson Wallen had 6 strikeouts. Relief pitcher Ethan Mahan had 2 strikeouts. Highlights for the Blackhawks: Jayce Kirkpatrick, Braxton Chamberlain and Zayne Amburgey all had singles. Jayden Culver had an RBI single. And Maddy Stahl had a 2 RBI single. Starting pitcher Jayce Kirkpatrick had 2 strikeouts. Relief pitchers Zayne Amburgey and Mathis Holbert both had 4 strikeouts.
