Results from Wabash Little League for Wednesday, June 19th
In an elimination game between the Kendall Electric Yankees and the Inguard A’s, the A’s defeated the Yankees, 7-1. The Yankees remained scoreless through 5 innings. They did have a hit from Jaxten Chambers, a single, in the 5th inning. Knox Evans led off the 6th inning with a single and scored on a Hudson Haupert double. Yankee starting pitcher Harry Sorg struck out 3 batters and walked 4. The A’s scored one run in the first inning. Cruz Long led off with a double, followed by a Riley Baldwin double that scored Cruz. Benjamin Dale singled in the second. A’s scored 2 in the 3rd inning with help from Jackson Tait and Ryker McKillip singles. Zayne Huffman contributed an RBI single of his own. Ridge McKillip singled in the 4th inning. The A’s added to their total number of runs in the bottom of the 5th inning when they scored 4 runs. Gage Sluss led off the 5th with a single. A SAC FLY RBI from Jackson Tait scored Gage. Cruz Long and Riley Baldwin also scored. A’s scored their final run of the inning on a Joey Worley 2 RBI single. A’s starting pitcher Zayne Huffman pitched the whole game striking out 6 batters, walking 3 and giving up 3 hits.
