The Wabash girls basketball team opened the TRC season with a 49-39 win over Peru Saturday.
The Lady Apaches played a good first quarter and solid fourth quarter to grab the win. Wabash, now (5-3, 1-0) , had a balanced scoring attack led by Kierra Wilson with 12 points. Bryleigh Boggs and Kait Honeycutt were also in double figures with 11 and 10. Bella Vail pulled down 9 boards to lead the team. In the JV contest the Lady Apaches overcame a rough first half to pull out a 24-21 win. Paige Miller led Wabash with 11 points.
