Lady Norse Win LaVille Invite
The Northfield softball team won the LaVille Invite Saturday.
The Lady Norse defeated Elkhart Christian 15-0, LaVille 11-4 and John Glenn 11-1.
In game one against Elkhart Christian the Norse pounded out 19 hits while pitchers Abby Hunter and Ally Keaffaber combined to throw a one hitter. Addi Baker hit two home runs while Abby Hunter led with three hits. Seven players had two hits.
The Norse bats remained hot in game two against LaVille, garnering 17 hits. Kenzie Baer led the attack with 3 hits with six other players collecting 2 hits each. Again Hunter and Keaffaber combined for the win on the mound.
In game three the Norse had 10 hits. Baker hit her third home run of the day and had 3 hits. Kyra Kennedy and Baer each had 2 hits. Abby Hunter got the win on the mound.
